Mindfulness is best described as a mind/body approach or “way of being”. It differs from a traditional talking therapy. Slowing down enables us to  become aware of the present moment, offering clarity and focus on our thoughts, feelings, and sensations . Through self insight Mindfulness offers greater emotional regulation, helping us become more aware of the negative cycles and unhelpful behaviours we may feel trapped in.
 
As an accredited 'Mindfulness Now' practitioner I am qualified to teach you an integrated approach to using mindfulness techniques to help you deal with physical and emotional trauma, as well as building emotional resilience and greater self compassion. I can also help teach you techniques to manage anxiety & reduce panic attack symptoms.
Mindfulness practice has many health benefits for general wellbeing including:

Reduced depression & symptom reoccurrence

Stress management
Greater emotional regulation
 
I offer mindfulness sessions on a 1-1 basis and sometimes run mindfulness groups.
